While working as staff at Stanford Business School in 2015, I assisted the teaching team of this intensive, hands-on, project-based course for one semester. In this sought-after course, seasoned Silicon Valley entrepreneurs show student teams how to design and test new business concepts that address real-world needs using design thinking. My role was to bring a social impact perspective to those teams interested in social innovation. Over the course of the semester, I had the special opportunity of working with MBA Candidates pursuing social entrepreneurship, like Ashley Edwards, who is now Founder & CEO of MindRight (a tech nonprofit empowering youth of color to heal from trauma) and a 2018 Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur.
